FnD Campaign Handout #3: Cold Hard Credits

FnD Campaign Handout #3: Cold Hard Credits

What? Money? Physical money in an interstellar future? Yup, Cuz its cool, that's why! In many of my games, locals will not take anything but physical currency. This is due to runaway criminality compromising more electronic means. Gold, Silver, Platinum, Copper, Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds are all of great value still, as are Natural Zuchai Crystals and Lanthanum used in the finest jump drives. If for no other reason than dramatic value, ya gotta have money.. What else are you going to do a hostage tradeoff with? Why rob a bank if all you get are gas station speed passes? Money's the answer, Referees and Travellers. The Root of All Evil. Cold Hard Credits.

Physically, The currency itself is a shaved microthin chip of a tripolymer resin, fabricated with an anti-counterfiet differential pattern imbedded in the resin. The Currency is virtually indestructible, and short of disintegration some part of it would remain to be redeemed at any bank, after an investigation period, of course.

Note the inclusion of the Megacredit. It may make little sense to have so much money in one bill, but not at Starship Repo Auction time!

To Construct: Print out on heavier stock, cut out bills and fold along lines. Apply stick or spray glue to the back and fold the two sides over to make a complete bill.

Note also that we have purposely made these to be "monopolyish" so as to not to confuse anyone out of context. We are not tooting our own horns, but we have actually had questions asked about this "money we are making!"

I guess the first draft was a bit too realistic! :)
