FnD Campaign Handout #3: Cold Hard Credits

FnD Campaign Handout #3: Cold Hard Credits

What? Money? Physical money in an interstellar future? Yup, Cuz its cool, that's why! In many of my games, locals will not take anything but physical currency. This is due to runaway criminality compromising more electronic means. Gold, Silver, Platinum, Copper, Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds are all of great value still, as are Natural Zuchai Crystals and Lanthanum used in the finest jump drives. If for no other reason than dramatic value, ya gotta have money.. What else are you going to do a hostage tradeoff with? Why rob a bank if all you get are gas station speed passes? Money's the answer, Referees and Travellers. The Root of All Evil. Cold Hard Credits.

Physically, The currency itself is a shaved microthin chip of a tripolymer resin, fabricated with an anti-counterfiet differential pattern imbedded in the resin. The Currency is virtually indestructible, and short of disintegration some part of it would remain to be redeemed at any bank, after an investigation period, of course.

Note the inclusion of the Megacredit. It may make little sense to have so much money in one bill, but not at Starship Repo Auction time!

To Construct: Print out on heavier stock, cut out bills and fold along lines. Apply stick or spray glue to the back and fold the two sides over to make a complete bill.

Note also that we have purposely made these to be "monopolyish" so as to not to confuse anyone out of context. We are not tooting our own horns, but we have actually had questions asked about this "money we are making!"

I guess the first draft was a bit too realistic! :)

FND Campaign Handout #2: Zippro's Outfitters

This is a first part of a series of Campaign play aids detailing common setting elements of interstellar society. The map in this handout is a quick solution should the need arise for a robbery, gunfight or small skirmish, Or even as a set piece to flesh out the background of your setting.

Zippro Supply Outlet

Zippro's was originally formed in 820 in the Old Expanses sector, Zippro's began merchant life as one of many frontier generalized purveyors of expidition equipment at reasonable prices. Soon, a windfall of additional company property allowed Zippro's, (known at the time as "OEV Provisioners") to begin producing its own lines of high quality, low-cost goods, in addition to expanding its export and delivery services. By 870, the operation had expanded to 15 stores and a service fleet of 5 Fat Traders.

By the present day, OEV changed its name to "Zippro" to emphasize the new direction of fast service and high quality provisions.

Zippro sells all manner of adventure gear, and its only primary failing is a lack of actual selection of Vacc Suits. Two basic models are offered, but this is augmented by a wide array of aftermarket vacc suit accessories. Oxygen tank refills are always free at Zippro.
Aas is datanet hookup.

To date, Zippro has 759 Outlets at A and B Starports and 1250 Clearance Outlets at several F class spaceports. All outlets are 100 ton mobile, self- contained modules. A fleet of 10,000 ton Module tenders make regular circuits to Store placement sites and restock and refuel them. Often this work will be contracted out to local labor, as will actual store operation. This gives Zippro's an advantage by knowing the local market and ordering according to demand. Each Zippro unit comes with a utility servo for cleaning and merchandizing.

Zippro has an excellent reputation among travellers for offering a good selection of the comforts of home, in particular a good array of armaments and ammunition.

The Zippro module is either free standing on a self leveling foundation frame, or easily attachable to orbital facilities by the front facade hardpoint.
